Anna Grimlycke
MSc student · 2026My name is Anna Grimlycke, and my master's project examines how communities of trees and shrubs in a traditionally managed wooded meadow develop once traditional use and management come to an end. Understanding long-term succession in these habitats is key to interpreting the ecological effects of land-use change and the loss of historical practices. Vessers Udde, about twenty kilometers south of Linköping, is one of only two closed nature reserves in Sweden. Protected since 1923, it offers a uniquely long record that provides valuable insights for nature conservation.
